Steve was a key member of Saints' 1996 double-winning side, seems to have decided that battling cancer is not enough and has already lined up yet another new challenge - the London Marathon.
Steve became interested in running the marathon having been inspired by the work of Jane Tomlinson CBE. Over a six-year period she completed a series of gruelling physical challenges, including three London Marathons, after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Jane, who sadly passed away last September, helped raise more than £1.85m for children's and cancer charities with her endeavours.
