Macmillan Campaign Against Hospital Parking Charges: Latest news in the fight against hospital parking charges. In June we asked the public to take action in support of our hospital parking charges campaign. So far hundreds of people in England have emailed their local hospital asking how they intend to meet government guidance, which advises that hospitals should offer free or reduced parking for cancer patients. In Wales and Northern Ireland people emailed ministers asking for similar guidance for their nations. In Scotland new guidance recommending free car parking for cancer patients attending regularly for treatment was published in March, and we are waiting to see how Health Boards react before taking campaigning action.
