It would be foolish to say the UK economic situation will not affect business sales. The problems with credit lines to banks, lending rates, overdrafts & business account charges are all considerations.
There is little doubt the negative revaluation of the residential property sector has gathered such pace with some areas of the UK being severely affected. This will particularly impact on freehold businesses & will probably mean the vendor should reconsider & restructure the sale to minimise the financial implications. The restructuring of the sale will have to be considered on individual basis, as the needs of the individual vendor will be very different.

Regrettably the redundancy in the private sector is expected to head toward the 3 million as 2009 draws to a close. With job & style vacancies a problem to many, particularly the talented & energetic & with many of those who lose their jobs receiving severance packages they could well be in a position to have the deposits required by the financial sector for loans.
The reality of the situation is not bright but it is quite possible the vendor of businesses may well be better positioned for selling than the private/residential market.
