News Story: South West shops trade in Euros
As the Euro is worth 10% less than the pound (1 Euro = 0.893 GBP at this time) are those using the actual legal tender/currency of the UK (GBP) being discriminated against by UK retailers who are operating what would seem to be an illegal two tier tariff with one of the currency having no denomination (Euro) in UK shops.
How odd the thought/pc enforcement agencies seem so quick to bring UK retailers (Under EU law) to court who used a similar system (but of equal measure) when selling by weight ie lbs & oz against g/kg yet their blue lights have yet to bear down on those who actually break our own British law & one of the most serious, that of knowingly to pass counterfeit currency in the UK. |
